DS20

DS20

Description

The DS-20 is a compact, trailerable cruiser-racer sailboat designed by Diller & Schwill and built by DS Yachts (Schwill Yachts) in Odessa, Ontario, Canada, from 1972 to 1983. Approximately 160 units were produced, making it a niche favorite among Canadian and U.S. Great Lakes sailors for its affordability, stability, and ease of handling. The design emphasizes a high freeboard for dry rides in choppy waters, with a shoal-draft keel option ideal for shallow bays or coastal exploration. A Mark II version (introduced mid-1970s) added more interior amenities like a small galley and improved berths, while a few hulls feature a shallow fixed keel.
