Dickerson 50
Description
The Dickerson 50 is a classic American bluewater cruising ketch designed by Kaufman & Associates and built by Dickerson Boatbuilders in Trappe, Maryland, USA. Introduced in 1982 (first hull presented at the Newport International Sailboat Show) with production continuing into the mid-1980s, it was a limited-run fiberglass yacht (only 2 hulls confirmed built per sailboatdata.com, though some sources suggest a few more semi-custom examples) emphasizing heavy displacement, exceptional seaworthiness, spacious accommodations, and traditional lines with a staysail ketch rig for easy shorthanded offshore sailing and balanced performance in varied conditions.
