Ct 42 Ketch

Description

The CT 42 Ketch (also known as the Ta Chiao CT 42 or CT 42 Mermaid) is a classic Taiwanese heavy-displacement cruising sailboat designed by Robert Perry and introduced in 1977 by Ta Chiao Enterprises in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Production ran through the late 1970s into the early 1980s, with approximately 50–80 units built, many customized for blue water voyages. A modernized evolution of the CT 41 (based on William Garden's Sea Wolf 40), it features a full keel for seaworthiness, a ketch rig for balanced short-handed sailing, and a spacious interior with a private owner's master stateroom aft and guest Pullman berths forward.
