Description
The Cross 28 Trimaran is a custom, plans-only American folding trimaran sailboat designed by multihull pioneer Norman Cross in the late 1970s (plans dated ~1978). Intended for home or professional construction using plywood-epoxy stitch-and-glue methods, it's one of the rarer designs in Cross's lineup, with only a handful of units built (estimated 2–5 documented examples, such as "Pamlico Flyer"). It features folding amas (outriggers) that collapse alongside the main hull via stainless hinges, reducing beam from ~20 ft to ~8 ft for trailering.
