Cortez 16

Description

The Cortez 16 is a small, trailerable monohull sailboat designed by William Crealock and built by Recreational Products (USA) starting in 1973. It is known for its stability, simplicity, and suitability as a day-sailor or beginner’s boat for coastal and inland waters. The hull design was adapted from the earlier Sun Downer 16, and it shares origins with the later Drifter 17.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
