Description
The Columbia 40 is an American sailboat designed by Charles Morgan as a racer-cruiser and first built in 1964 by Columbia Yachts in the United States. Based on Morgan’s successful one-off racing boat Sabre, which won Class C and placed second overall in the 1964 Southern Ocean Racing Circuit (SORC), the Columbia 40 was a popular model, with approximately 55–60 units built between 1964 and 1969. It’s known for its innovative design features for the era, including a molded-in steel frame skeleton and a hydraulically controlled centerboard, making it a versatile and stable vessel for both racing and cruising. 18200 lbs.
