Description

The Columbia 10.7 was designed by Alan Payne, known for his work on America’s Cup yachts, and built by Columbia Yachts, a pioneer in fiberglass sailboats. The “10.7” refers to its length in meters. Approximately 200 were built starting in 1976, with the first 66 constructed by Whittaker Corp. at their Chesapeake plant, and later units at other locations through 1979.
