Cheoy Lee Offshore 36

Description

The Cheoy Lee Offshore 36 is a classic fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Raymond H. Richards and built by the Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong from the mid-1960s to the early 1980s. Part of Cheoy Lee's Offshore series, which prioritized seaworthiness and traditional styling for blue water and coastal cruising, the Offshore 36 shares the yard's reputation for solid construction and teak-heavy aesthetics, a hallmark of their transition from wooden to fiberglass vessels in the 1960s. With an estimated 50–70 hulls produced, it was less common than other Cheoy Lee models like the Clipper 36 but highly regarded for its robust build and versatility. The design features a full keel, cutter or ketch rig options, and a spacious interior for 4–6 people, making it ideal for long-distance cruising or liveaboard use.
