The Chantiers Yachting France 33 MS (often abbreviated as Yachting France 33 MS) is a classic French-built cruising sailboat from the late 1970s, produced by the now-defunct Yachting France shipyard. Founded in 1970 and ceasing operations in 1992, Yachting France specialized in affordable, well-constructed fiberglass monohulls, often under the Jouët brand, designed by naval architects like Jean Berret and Daniel Tortarolo. The 33 MS model, likely introduced around 1977–1980, is a motorsailer variant emphasizing coastal cruising with a balance of sailing performance and motoring capability, thanks to its auxiliary diesel engine and practical layout. "MS" denotes "Motorsailer," highlighting its hybrid design for extended passages where wind may be unreliable. Production numbers were modest (part of Yachting France's output of around 11 models from 20–41 feet), and the yard's closure was attributed to economic pressures, including competition from larger groups like Beneteau and Jeanneau in the late 1970s–1980s.
