Catalina 50
Description
The Catalina 50 (also known as the Catalina-Morgan 50) is a spacious American cruising sailboat designed by Frank Butler and Gerry Douglas, built by Catalina Yachts in collaboration with Morgan Yachts from 1984 to around 1990. Primarily targeted at the charter trade, it emphasizes comfort, stability, and ease of handling for long-distance coastal or blue water cruising, with a layout suited for larger crews or liveaboards. It follows Catalina's successful formula of high-volume production with practical features, making it a reliable choice for family voyages or charter operations. Fewer than 100 units were produced.
