Catalina 309

Description

The Catalina 309 is a compact American cruising sailboat designed by Gerry Douglas and built by Catalina Yachts from 2005 to 2012. It's an evolution of the legendary Catalina 30, incorporating modern design for better performance, comfort, and ease of handling while retaining the brand's reputation for value and reliability. Aimed at coastal cruising, family weekends, or light racing, it won Cruising World's 2007 Boat of the Year awards for Domestic Boat and Small Cruiser, praised for its balance of speed, spaciousness, and safety in a sub-32-foot package. Around 200-300 units were produced, and it's highly regarded on the used market for its low maintenance and strong resale.
