Description

The Cape Cod Knockabout is a classic American sailboat designed by Captain Charles S. Gurney, founder of Cape Cod Shipbuilding, and first introduced in 1925. Originally known as the Cape Cod Baby Knockabout, it is a one-design centerboard dinghy celebrated for its racing heritage and versatility as a day-sailor. Built primarily by Cape Cod Shipbuilding in Wareham, Massachusetts, over 2,700 units have been constructed, with production transitioning from wood to fiberglass in 1960. Though retired from regular production, the molds remain available for custom orders.
