C&C Corvette 31
Description
The C&C Corvette 31 is a classic Canadian recreational sailboat designed by C&C Design (Cuthbertson & Cassian Ltd.) in 1965 and built by C&C Yachts at their Belleville Marine Yard (Morch Marine) in Belleville, Ontario, from 1966 to 1971. Named after the WWII Flower-class corvettes of the Royal Canadian Navy, it was one of the first successful designs from C&C, a company renowned for racer-cruiser sailboats that combined performance with affordability. Total production reached 167-171 hulls, with peak output of 52 boats in 1969-70. The initial price was $12,500, and it sold well in regions like the Bay of Quinte, Montreal, and the Chesapeake Bay. Designed to the Cruising Club of America (CCA) Southern Ocean Racing Conference (SORC) rule, it features heavy displacement and shoal draft for stability in coastal and offshore conditions. It's a masthead sloop with a keel/centerboard configuration, suitable for family cruising, club racing, and exploring shallow waters. The boat gained early fame in 1968 SORC races, where "Elektra II" (hull #34) placed highly in events like the Lipton Cup and Miami-Nassau Race L.W.L.: 22' 0" (6.71 m) Beam: 9' 1" (2.77 m) Draft: 3' 3" to 7'(1.01 m) Displacement: 8545 lbs. (3876 kg.) Ballast: 4500 lbs. (2041 kg.)

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
