Caliber 35
Description
The Caliber 35 (also known as the Caliber 35 LRC for Long Range Cruiser variants) is a classic American bluewater cruising cutter designed by naval architect Michael McCreary. Built by Caliber Yachts in Clearwater, Florida, from 1992 to around 1999 (with the LRC iteration starting in 1994), approximately 50–60 hulls were produced in total. Evolving from the earlier Caliber 33, it emphasizes seaworthiness with a moderate-displacement fin keel and skeg-hung rudder for protected tracking, solid hand-laid fiberglass construction (Divinycell-cored deck for lightness and strength), and a cutter rig for versatile sail handling on extended passages. Renowned for its tank-like build quality, dry center cockpit, and balanced performance in 15–25 knots, it's a favorite for couples or small families on coastal or offshore voyages.
