Bloom 23

Bloom 23

Description

The Bloom 23 is a compact cruising sailboat designed by William H. Tripp III (son of famed yacht designer William H. Tripp Jr.) in the mid‑1970s as a small but capable trailerable cruiser. Built primarily in fiberglass, it reflects Tripp’s talent for blending sleek, modern hull forms with practical cruising features. Produced in limited numbers by Bloom Boat Works in the United States, the Bloom 23 was intended as a comfortable family weekender—large enough to offer standing headroom in parts of the cabin, a simple galley, and sleeping accommodations for four, yet small enough to launch and retrieve easily from a trailer. Production appears to have been modest, with roughly 40 to 60 boats built between 1976 and the early 1980s.
