Hinckley Bermuda 40 Mk I
Description
The Bermuda 40 (most commonly the Hinckley Bermuda 40) is a legendary American racer-cruiser sailboat designed by William Tripp, Jr. in 1958 as a refinement of his earlier Block Island 40. It was built by Hinckley Yachts (Southwest Harbor, Maine) starting in 1960, with production running through the 1970s (over 200 built across variants). Renowned for its timeless elegance, exceptional build quality (often described as "everybody's dream boat"), and bluewater capabilities, it's a classic with long overhangs, a graceful sheer line, wide side decks, and hand-crafted teak interiors. Many consider it one of the finest production sailboats ever made, blending racing performance with superb cruising comfort.
