Beneteau Idylle 15.5

Description

The Beneteau Idylle 15.5 (also known as the Idylle 1550 or Moorings 51 in charter configurations) is a premium French bluewater cruising sailboat designed by German Frers and built by Beneteau from 1985 to 1988, with approximately 50 units produced (most as charter boats for The Moorings in the Caribbean). As the flagship of Beneteau's short-lived Idylle range—focused on elegant, comfortable cruising rather than the sporty First series—it emphasizes seaworthiness, spacious accommodations, and traditional lines for long-distance family voyages or charters. This 50-footer features a moderate fin keel for balance and a skeg-hung rudder for protected steering, earning acclaim as a "classic bluewater yacht" with strong, oversized construction akin to modern high-end builds like Hallberg-Rassy.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
