Belhaven 19
Description
The Belhaven 19 is a modern pocket cruiser sailboat designed by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs in 2011, inspired by traditional sharpie workboats from the Chesapeake Bay and Carolina regions. It's a development of the Core Sound series (predating the Mark 3 versions), created in response to builder requests for a small cuddy cabin to provide shelter from sun, wind, or spray—suitable for both tropical and northern climates. Available as plans or kits for amateur builders using stitch-and-glue plywood construction, it's celebrated for its lightweight, trailerable design, making it ideal for coastal cruising, gunkholing in shallow waters, or short-handed adventures (2–4 people). The cat-ketch rig (two masts with balanced lugsails) offers easy handling and balanced sailing, while the centerboard allows access to skinny waters. With over 50 hulls built or in progress worldwide, it's praised for its seaworthiness in moderate conditions (e.g., open bays like the Pungo River) and spacious cabin for its size

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
